Cozy Mystery Recommendation - Mystery Mavens

After posting 2 piles of paperbacks as my immediate TBR and reads in progress, here's the book recommendation nobody expected.

If you have been sleeping on the Mystery Mavens series bt J. Hicks, don't. If you're looking for a cozy, low-impact, and quick read mystery, these books are for you.

I needed a break from my book piles and went to my kindle. From about 7:30 pm to 1:53 am (I checked the time) I was sucked into the second book in the series. (Book 1 was incredible too.) I didn't want to put it down.

While my writer brain (and the fact I was one of the small handful who helped brainstorm part of the mystery) guessed at whodunnit (intentionally using murder mystery terminology) but the motive wasn't clear.

Even though I was aware that I was ready well past my self-assigned bedtime, it was still a latw Saturday night/early Sunday morning reading marathon as I tapped my kindle to go to the next page.

It's Monday and while I still have regrets staying up so late devouring a book, I don't regret reading it.

(And based on some of my other friends' reactions (some I'm expecting will be posted in the comments), I'm in for a treat when I pick up Book 3 and 4. Book 5 is currently being written.)
