Life has a way of throwing lemons

It's been months since my last blog post. I had good intentions that got demolished in a matter of hours.

Back in January, my mom died. I'm not going to talk about this; it happened six months ago and on my 40th birthday, but that's all anybody really needs to know. For the last six years she had trouble remembering my birthday, anyway. Shrugs

My motivation, cheerfulness, carefully laid out plans for the year went out the window. I've recently started posting on social media again. Mostly things I can schedule. Mostly things not about writing.

I've started writing again, but I can generally go about three days before crashing out.

The Mermaid Kingdom - Enchanted Forest 10 - is in progress. I have ten chapters of a rough draft. Technically, it's seven chapters of my rough draft. I'm not at the midway point of my outline.

I'm not even thinking about The Mermaid Song - EF 11. I am, but not actively. I'm probably going to break my habit of rapid releasing the related story arcs. But EF 11 is plotted and outlined and just is waiting for its turn.

Same with Part One of Emma - A Jane Austen Variation. I'm halfway through writing Part One. I'm just focusing on EF 11.

I have a plan. It's much smaller than my original plan. But it's a plan. That's always a start.
