Writetober Day 11 - Eternal

The seconds ticked away as she waited.

The hands on the clock in the room made an audible sound as they moved.  The second hand was a short, quick sound. One following after the other.  The minute hand was a firm click.  Thankfully she hadn't been around long enough to hear if the hour hand made a sound, yet.  Only five more minutes.

It was as if she was in a room where waiting was the eternal punishment, the sounds enough to drive a person mad.

What she did to deserve this punishment was beyond her.
